Safety is the biggest concern when buying playground equipment. Playing on a playground is a memorable activity that children love and cherish. Keep these tips in mind to make child’s play fun and safe outdoors.

The openings on a children’s playhouse should be more than 9 inches or less than 3 1/2 inches.

Tighten knobs and screws on equipment tightly.

Place guardrails on platforms more than 30 inches above the ground.

Add energy absorbent material such as sand, rubber, sawdust, wood chips or bark to the play area.

Anchor play sets firmly to the ground on a level surface.
