Blinds and shades with cordless mechanisms are becoming increasingly popular. They are particularly popular in homes with small children. Lift cords on blinds can be a danger to children as well as animals should they become entangled in them. Cordless blinds are also more convenient as there is no cord to become tangled and more attractive as the cord is dangling down in view.
